Whitelock’s Dinner Club #12

Whitelock's × Sykes House Farm

Celebrating Yorkshire provenance, our local suppliers, and classic British pub food.

For our May Dinner Club we are partnering with 3rd generation family-owned farmers Sykes House Farm from Wetherby, West Yorkshire.
Sykes House Farm are our long standing meat suppliers here at Whitelock’s and our five-course tasting menu celebrates Yorkshire provenance, our local suppliers, and classic British pub food in perhaps Leeds’ finest British pub.  Expect a combination of some classic recipes with some unique Whitelock’s and Yorkshire twists.
The menu has been developed by head development chef at Sykes House Farm, Greg Lewis and Whitelock’s Head Chef Nick Robertson.

Greg Lewis – “I’ve lived and worked in Leeds for almost 2 decades now and one of my favourite places for a pint of Old Peculier or a bite to eat has always been Whitelock’s. It’s a real Leeds icon and it’s a real privilege to spend some time in the kitchen paying homage to the great cooks who have been there before me.

I have known Nick for well over 10 years and it’s been great to see him grow into the fantastic chef he has become. He’s a smart operator and a genuinely nice bloke and I can’t wait to spend a few days with him and his team cooking some proper British food in a proper British pub. Much like Whitelock’s, Sykes House Farm is a Leeds institution so I’m very lucky to part of such a unique coming together of these two great companies.”

Nick Robertson – “for our first collaborative dinner club I’m pleased to be showcasing our Yorkshire meat supplier Sykes House Farm’s produce and their incredibly talented development chef’s skills. Greg was the chef I worked my first day of my first fulltime chef job at The New Ellington hotel, it’s been over a decade since we shared a kitchen so this is a huge honour for me to be hosting someone who helped shaped the chef I am today. This menu celebrates classic British pub food in Leeds’ finest example of a classic British pub and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this evening”

As always we will be offering a drinks pairing to go with each course – no need to book this in advance, decide on the night!

Tickets are £45 for all five courses, advance booking, £10 deposit per head.
