We are looking for a talented Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at Whitelock’s Ale House
Location: Whitelock’s Ale House, Leeds City Centre (includes The Turk’s Head)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 per year (depending on experience)
About Us
Whitelock’s Ale House is the oldest pub in Leeds and a Grade II* listed venue with a strong reputation for excellent service, a well-regarded core menu, and high-quality daily specials. We share our kitchen with our sister bar, The Turk’s Head, a beautiful craft beer venue.
We are looking for a talented and ambitious Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and drive the food offering forward.
The Role
You’ll oversee the kitchen operations, reporting to the site General Manager and the group’s Executive Chef. You’ll be responsible for:
– Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the highest standards
– Leading and developing the kitchen team
– Writing, costing, and delivering the main menu, specials, and dinner club menus
– Managing day-to-day kitchen operations, including food ordering and stock control
– Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards
– Completing regular cleaning schedules
– Carrying out additional duties as required by senior management
Schedule
Variable shift pattern, with flexible rota. Weekend and holiday availability is essential
